Dear Wellness Community,

Oil painting of Autumn Landscape with HouseHopefully you’ve been enjoying the balmy days of this long tail of Seattle summer. (A well deserved reprieve, in my opinion, when you remember what little sun June had to offer!) Whether you realize it or not, October is here and that means lots of fun fall events!

I welcome the arrival of Halloween which invites us all to engage with our creative and playful sides. Making a silly or scary costume from supplies at home or second hand goods (I recommend the Goodwill in Cap Hill for this), can bring out your artsy, crafty self—a much needed respite for your brain in the face of news and work cycles that also pick up this time of year. Don’t pass on the chance to be whimsical!

Speaking of Halloween, we are so excited to bring back our popular Halloween Play Day at Kelsey Creek Farm on Sunday, October 30th, and we hope to see many of you there in costume with your little ones! Register below.

As the days grow a little shorter and darker, a cozy candlelit meal may get even more appealing and luckily, the end of October will welcome Seattle’s Restaurant Week for cheap delicious menus at many locations around town. For the moment, Daylight Savings Time is still in effect, so enjoy that extra hour of sleep November 6th at 2am when the clocks move back an hour!
