We hope you will join us for the upcoming “Things I Didn’t Learn in Training About Firearms” event on Wednesday, August 21st from 5:00pm – 6:00pm. The entire GME community is welcome to attend via Zoom. Agenda to come.

At this event GME sponsored event, we welcome, Dr. Mark Shapiro, a Hospitalist based in California and the Founder, Producer and Host of the Explore The Space Podcast.

The presentation will include:

Why do we often feel unprepared to discuss firearms?
What can we discuss with our patients regarding secure firearm storage?
Approaching firearms from an advocacy perspective.
The importance of discussing voter registration.
