Description: Pediatric Sleep Medicine is a relatively new field but clinically a very busy one here at SCH. The elective will be primarily ambulatory, and involve attending clinics at the Sleep Center at Overlake in Bellevue, with some outreach clinics here in Seattle. Content specifics of the elective can be tailored to the rotator’s interest. Available elements to the elective include technical aspects of sleep study acquisition and interpretation, otolaryngology, behavioral sleep medicine, sleep in children with special needs, sleep in specific age groups, sleep disordered breathing, hypersomnias, parasomnias, insomnia, etc.
