Description: Over the course of four weeks, residents will be expected to work all week days, with weekends off unless scheduled for another activity. It is expected that most residents will have one week of vacation time during this elective. In general, the block will be divided into four sections, each about one week long, including one week with the Emergency Department, one week with the Pediatric ICU, one week with Anesthesia, and one week with nursing staff. If the block is to be three weeks long, the three weeks should take place in the Emergency Department, Pediatric ICU, and Anesthesia respectively, with all free time dedicated to the nursing and respiratory therapy activities.
