Who are your people?

Family, friends, and anyone who loves backyard barbecues that start late and end late.

My twin boys, Jomo and Jahi, and my daughter, Kaia.

Why UW Pediatrics/Seattle Children’s?

I came here in 2016 because of the level of research innovation and excellence that occurs in child health here. And I am still here because of the amazing people I get to work with everyday– across clinical, research, and  education.

What’s next?

There is so much more to do! Primary care transformation so that patients and families get the care that they need, in the way that they need it. Inclusion of BIPOC clinicians and scientists so that patients are represented by the people who care for them. And a career in academic pediatrics to fulfill the mind and the soul. I am not asking for too much, right?
