Description: The pediatric bioethics elective is a reading and research elective. Residents will meet with the elective director to discuss goals for the month and develop and reading and/or writing plan. In addition, residents will have exposure to any educational opportunities occurring at the bioethics center during the month (weekly seminars, etc), and will be encouraged to attend ethics committee meetings, IRB meetings, and ethics consults that occur during the month. Residents will also be encouraged to meet with other bioethics faculty to discuss bioethics topics or career opportunities.
