The Residency Program is happy to provide some funding to support travel for residents presenting at conferences, both general pediatrics (e.g. Pediatric Academic Societies, American Academy of Pediatrics) as well as sub-specialty meetings.

  1. The resident should first approach the Division or Department providing mentoring for their project to discuss funding available for trainees to attend meetings.
  2. Residents should investigate trainee travel grants provided by conference or Society, and apply for any available.
  3. Once a resident has a poster or presentation accepted at a conference, they should submit a Resident Travel Request. See the request form below or at this link.
  4. Residents are responsible for clearing all conflicts on their schedule.

Requests should be submitted as soon as possible, ideally 2 months prior to conference. All questions should go through the Chief Residents.
