The Hematology/Oncology resident elective focuses on experiences in the ambulatory Hematology/Oncology Clinic. Residents have the opportunity to see a wide range of patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders in clinic, including patients presenting for initial diagnostic evaluation and in follow-up. Residents also have the opportunity to perform consultative evaluations for hospitalized patients. Residents can participate in multi-disciplinary specialty clinics, including Bone Tumor, Neuro-oncology, and Hematology clinics. Residents have the opportunity to work with a variety of faculty who represent the range of academic specialization within Hematology/Oncology.
