ASCE and SEAW Joint Annual Golf Tournament

Looking for something fun to do this summer? Although we are only a couple weeks away, there are still spots open for players, sponsors, and volunteers!   

ASCE and SEAW are holding a joint annual golf tournament on Friday, August 28th, 2015. The event will be held at Willows Run Golf Club on the Eagle’s Talon course. Bring your clients and colleagues for a fun afternoon of golfing, networking, and enjoying the beautiful summer weather! All the proceeds go to the SEAW and ASCE YMF. One of their main goals this year is to continue expanding the SEAW YMF network, and this is a major contributor to that goal. Help them make this tournament a success now and for many years to come.

The tournament format will be a shotgun 4-man scramble starting at 1:00 pm. A putting contest will be set up before the event, and range balls will be provided for everyone to warm up. After the tournament, there will be a dinner social, a raffle, and awards for the putting contest, teams with the lowest scores, and longest drive & closest to the pin for both men and women.

Schedule:

11:00 – 12:30 a.m.       Event check-in is open
11:30 – 12:45 p.m.       Putting contest; driving range open
1:00 – 6:00 p.m.           Golf Tournament
6:00 – 7:00 p.m.           Dinner social, award ceremony, and raffle

Transportation Engineer II Position Available in Seattle

Looking for a temporary job? King County’s Metro Transit System and Traffic Engineering team is looking to hire a temporary 3-year transportation engineer: 

This Transportation Engineer II TLT (Term-Limited Temporary) position in Metro’s Transit Systems and Traffic Engineering team will require a strong interest in improving transit mobility in the region. This is a three-year project position anticipated to end in September, 2018.

The position will work on both transit planning and traffic engineering projects. The work involves planning and developing conceptual plans, and reviewing design plans related to the transit priority treatments along high transit corridor prepared by consultants or external agency partners. In addition, this position will include some traffic engineering analysis, bus stop capacity analysis, complex analysis and reports, managing projects and project teams, working collaboratively with internal and external project teams/stakeholders, and preparing and presenting technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.
