Join the Society of Women Engineers this Fall!

The Society of Women Engineers at UW is looking to get off to a strong start this school year, and would love to increase the representation of Civil & Environmental Engineering students in SWE. Read on to learn more!

The Society of Women Engineers is gearing up for its first general meeting on Oct. 7 from 6-7:30 in EEB 105!

SWE’s mission is to motivate both women and men to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders; expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life; and demonstrate the value of diversity.

As a student organization, we organize:

  • Monthly general meetings that feature guest speakers from both the industry and academia, information on upcoming engineering events, and of course–great food.
  • Annual Evening With Industry Career Fair & Banquet
  • Engineering Majors Fair
  • Company tours
  • Social activities and networking events

Please feel free to reach out to SWE with any questions at swe@uw.edu.
