Time to Invent is an outreach program run by graduate students and focused on kindling a love of science and engineering in young girls . Once a month, our mentors visit a local elementary school and lead 4th and 5th grade girls through hands-on activities to encourage an interest in innovation and science/engineering. While activities are typically led by the graduate mentors, both undergraduate and graduate mentors are

The WTS Mentoring & Scholarship Committee is now accepting Applications

Read on to learn about volunteer and scholarship opportunities with Women’s Transportation Seminars (WTS):

Mentoring Program:

Applications due date extended to Friday, 10/16/2015. We pair graduate/undergrad college students (men and women) with an interest in transportation with local professionals to discuss topics for growth and professional development including:

  1. resume reviews
  2. time management skills
  3. public speaking
  4. networking tips, etc..

The free mentoring program runs from October 2015 until June 2016. It is a short term commitment with long term benefits!

Scholarships:

We have four scholarships for graduate and undergraduate women interested in transportation (including construction, urban planning, bridge design, communications, etc). Applications due Friday, 11/13/2015.
