2015 CM Career Fair Reminder

Reminder about the CM Career Fair: 

  • When: Thursday, November 5th, 2015
  • Time: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Location: Gould Hall Commons (it will be crowded with 50+ companies in attendance)

Important things to note:

  • This career fair is absolutely open to CEE students seeking internships and fill-time positions in the construction industry.
  • This career fair is focused on the construction industry. If you are at all interested you should go.
  • There are 57 companies attending–all the big construction industry companies, as well as many great local ones!

Integrated Studio Course ARCH/CM 404

Are you interested in a course that offers focused topical instruction and interdisciplinary design collaboration? Read on to learn about this exciting opportunity:

There will be an interdisciplinary studio offered again this winter quarter with two engineering design labs:  Structures and Sustainability offered at both the grad and undergrad levels. The course includes focused topical instruction and interdisciplinary design collaboration.
They’re looking for 3-6 students for each of the two tracks, which are as follows:
Structures:  Ideal for students with a focus on structures, they will be learning how to configure and size heavy timber structures (including CLT).
Sustainability:  Ideal for students with a broad interest in building energy performance. The course will include energy modeling and integration of sustainability strategies
Registration: ARCH 498H for undergrads and ARCH 598B for graduate students
