Now accepting applications for Summer 2016 NSF funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program offered by the Center for the Environmental Implications of NanoTechnology (CEINT) headquartered at Duke University!
The research focus of our summer REU program is organized across a comprehensive effort to examine the environmental implications of nanotechnology with a focus on exposure, transport, fate, and transformation of nano-particles in the environment; elucidating the effects of nano-particles in complex, real-world environments; and translating our research into the language of risk assessment to inform decision-making.
To be eligible students must be US citizens or permanent work residents and freshmen, sophomores or juniors in good standing in their respective departments. Our 10-week internship offers a $5,000 stipend and also covers housing and travel to research sites. Applications are due February 28, 2016.
