Internship with Clean Water Services

This position within Treatment Plant Services is an excellent opportunity to develop
engineering experience working for a nationally-recognized wastewater treatment facility in the public sector. The projects planned for this internship includes lab testing as well as plant sampling and data analysis. Assistance in the facility will include monitoring and evaluation of full-scale fermentation, monitoring of biological phosphorous removal process and evaluation of process instrumentation. Interns will work with engineering, operations, and maintenance to design, conduct and troubleshoot testing programs.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidates are current engineering students (civil, chemical, environmental engineering) with interest in wastewater treatment who are self-motivated and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • They will also be capable of establishing effective working relationships with other employees and associates
  • Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of proper laboratory documentation methods and record keeping

  • Temporary position for up to six months
  • Flexible schedule: part-time up to full-time (24-40 hrs/week)

MobilizeGreen Conference and Diversity Career Fair

In partnership with the City of Seattle, College of the  Environment, the Office of Minority Affairs, and the Clean Energy Institute, MobilizeGreen is hosting its annual conference and diversity career fair at the University of Washington on April 7-8, 2016. The theme of this year’s event is: Equity & the Environment: Mobilizing the Next Generation of Leaders. Mayor Ed Murray, Leslie Weldon, the Deputy Chief for National Forest Systems, NGOs, and other federal, local government, and business employers will be at the event, which will include thought-provoking panels, workshops, and high-impact networking sessions for students.
