Bellevue DOT Intership

The City of Bellevue Transportation Department is looking to hire an intern in the Traffic Engineering division.They are trying to recruit an interested freshman/sophomore early/direct admit from the UW CEE program for this position, which will start in June. The intern will keep the position until they graduate (2-3 years). Hours worked are paid and flexible, but likely part-time (8-20 hours) during the school year with the option for full-time work during breaks. Starting wage is $14.61/hour.

The job covers a broad range of transportation engineering topics and practices, from signal operations and lighting design to construction plan drafting and bike facilities design. The intern will gain practical engineering experience and software not taught in classes. AutoCAD will be used extensively, along with other specialized traffic/lighting software and Office, but some training will be provided. Geotechnical Engineering Intern Position

Read on to learn about a summer/fall internship with Seattle DCI. They are hoping they can find an undergraduate with real interest in geotechnical engineering, as this will be a fun project to go through all the historic landslide files!

Position Description: The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections is seeking a junior or senior student to clean up the delineation of known slides in the existing Geographic Information System.  The intern will also (1) assist with the digitization of historical landslide files and (2) help complete the current ongoing project of steep slope delineation, if that project has not been completed by this summer.

  • Salary: $15.73 Hourly
