Mackay Sposito – Job Opportunity for Upcoming Graduates.

Hello,

I am a 2020 graduate of the UW Civil Engineering program currently employed by Mackay Sposito.  I’d like to inform current students about a job opportunity we currently have for upcoming graduates.  You can find it here on our careers page listed as the “Civil Engineer” role in our Federal Way office.  http://www.mackaysposito.com/careers

While the job post does specify a preferred 5+ years of experience we have been interviewing upcoming 2022 graduates as well.  We are looking to hire at least two engineers, though I can see the possibility of a third hire.  I believe we’d be open to training anyone in either Civil or Environmental regardless of the coursework they’ve chosen to specialize in during their senior year.  We primarily work on the Tehaleh housing development down in Bonney Lake, you can expect to get experience designing detention/retention ponds, grading for house lots, designing roadway corridors, and storm/sewer networks.

CEE Seniors – Apply to Graduate Now!

Hello CEE Seniors –

This is your last chance to gain graduating senior registration priority for WIN22.

If you believe you will complete your BSCE or BSENVE degree in AUT21, WIN22, SPR22, or SUM22, please complete this form at your earliest convenience:

APPLY TO GRADUATE

More detailed information can be found below.

It is time to apply to graduate if you plan to complete your BSCE or BSENVE degree in AUT21, WIN22, SPR22, or SUM22!

Here are the steps we need you to complete:

1. Please run a fresh degree audit (DARS) and carefully review your remaining requirements to ensure you are accounting for them all.  In your final quarter, your DARS needs to show that all requirements are either completed or in-progress. If you have questions, please let us know.

2. You will also need to update your MyPlan so that it reflects your plan for completing your degree. If you are unsure of the exact courses you will take,                you can use placeholders similar to the sample 4 year plan on            the BSCE/BSENVE degree sheets. If you have taken courses outside of the UW, please be sure that the most up-to-date official transcript has been sent to the UW Admissions Office.

3. After you review your DARS and update your MyPlan, you will need to complete this google form and we will submit your online graduation application for you. (The form will allow you to let us know of any irregularities or concerns.) Once we’ve received your google form response, we will initiate your graduation application.

This process ensures that you will obtain Graduating Senior Priority Registration (GSP) for Winter Quarter (Nov 5, 2021) and Spring Quarter (Feb 11, 2022).  The deadline to complete our google form is Friday, October 8th, but the earlier you can submit it, the better!

We are so excited to welcome you back to campus!
