How to create your own Library Electronic Resources links (not advisable)
- Start with the off-campus proxy library link
http://offcampus.lib.washington.edu/login?url= - Identify the resource link. The two most commonly used are
AccessMedicine example http://accessmedicine.mhmedical.com/content.aspx?bookid=500§ionid=41026576
Clinical Key – do NOT use the URL displayed in your browser. See book & chapter Durable URLs that are subject to change. - Combine the proxy and resource links to create a library electronic resource link
http://offcampus.lib.washington.edu/login?url=http://accessmedicine.mhmedical.com/content.aspx?bookid=500§ionid=41026576 - For resources other than AccessMedicine, AccessPharmacy, and ClinicalKey please Ask HSL. The URL displayed in your browser may not necessarily be accurate.
Canvas Design Tips
- Combine the proxy and resource links in a text document
- Copy the library electronic resource link and test in several Internet browsers
- Safari often has issues with the off-campus proxy links – we recommend students with Macs use a different browser
